TIGRE TIGRE LUCE ARDENTE
NELLE FORESTE DELLA NOTTE
QUALE IMMORTALE OCCHIO O MANO
POTE CREARE LA TUA
TANTO TEMIBILE SIMMETRIA ?

La tigre
Tigre ! Tigre !    Divampante fulgore
Nelle foreste della notte
Quale fu l'immortale mano o l'occhio
Ch'ebbe la forza di formare
La tua agghiacciante simmetria ?
In quali abissi o in quali cieli
Accese il fuoco dei tuoi occhi ?
Sopra quali ali osa slanciarsi ?
E quale mano afferra il fuoco ?
Quali spalle
 quale arte
Poté torcerti i tendini del cuore ?
E quando il tuo cuore ebbe il primo palpito
Quale tremenda mano ?
Quale tremendo piede ?
Quale mazza e quale catena ?
Il tuo cervello fu in quale fornace ?
E quale incudine ?
Quale morsa robusta osò serrarne
I terrori funesti ?
Chi l'Agnello creò
 creò anche te ?
Fu nel sorriso che ebbe
Osservando compiuto il suo lavoro
Mentre gli astri perdevano le lance
Tirandole alla terra
E il Paradiso empivano di pianti ?
Tigre ! Tigre  !     Divampante fulgore
Nelle foreste della notte
Quale mano
quale immortale spia
Oso' formare
La tua agghiacciante simmetria ?

Tyger !   Tyger !   Burning bright
In the forests of the night
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry ?

In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes ?
On what wings dare he aspire ?
What the hand dare seize the fire ?
And what shoulder, and what art
Could twist the sinews of thy heart ?
And when thy heart began to beat
What dread hand ? And what dread feet ?
What the hammer ? What the chain ?
In what furnace was thy brain ?
What the anvil ? What dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors grasp ?
When the stars threw down their spears
And water’d heaven with their tears
Did he smile his work to see ?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?
Tyger ! Tyger ! Burning bright
In the forests of the night
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry ?

Confessions of

COSA SUCCEDEREBBE SENZA TIGRE ?
The tiger is at the top of the food chain in all the ecosystems it lives in. As such it keeps populations of deer   wild pig   antelope and gaur in check.   Without the tiger to control them these prey species would expand.
This excessive population would then totally ravage its food source - vegetation. If the vegetation in the jungles was devastated, smaller animals and insects would not survive there.
If the insects moved to the crops in farmlands vital food sources could be lost, impacting on human populations.
If plants can no longer grow in the jungle the soil will become infertile and eventually the jungle - and all that depend on it - will fade away.
Other consequences include
.  Negative impacts for human welfare and economic development.
.
  Loss of ecotourism opportunities.
.  Coextinction of other species.
.
  Another species to be exploited.
.  Climate change.

LE STRIATURE DEL MANTO DELLE TIGRI SONO UNICHE  ... come le nostre impronte digitali . sono anche sulla pelle .

.

A tigers forehead has a marking which resembles the chineese character for   ' King '

.
every tiger  has a different stripe pattern - and it's usually different on each side. beneath their fur their skin is striped too.  tiger have an average of 100 stripes each
.

Tigers have hind legs that are longer than their front legs giving them the ability to jump high and far

.

Tiger claws grow up to 4 inches in length & help them defend themselves and grasp prey as well as providing balance
.

Male tigers can weigh up to 325kg and reach 1m at the shoulder

.

tigers are completely blind for the first week of their life.   about half do not survive to adulthood
.
tiger cannot purr .   to show happiness tigers squint or close their eyes. this is because losing vision lowers defense, so tigers - and many other cats - only purposefully do so when they feel comfortable and safe
.

The Amur tiger is the largest of all the wild big cats .   Averaging 3 mt from nose to tail tip and weighing 200 kg !

.

Did you know ?    It's not just the tigers fur that is striped .  It's also the skin
